Johnathan Perkins has been preparing for a career in law since his graduation from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2011, accumulating professional experience through internships in different organizations. As an undergraduate student at Temple University, Johnathan Perkins completed his first legal internship at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office in May 2007. During his internship, Johnathan Perkins gained an insider’s view of jury trial proceedings and he assisted in the evaluation and implementation of Philadelphia’s first DUI treatment court. In 2008, he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts and received a scholarship to attend the University of Virginia School of Law. Johnathan Perkins held an active membership with the Black Law Student Association and participated in the William Minor Lile Moot Court Competition, while at the university.
While attending law school, Johnathan Perkins completed additional internships with a number of reputable firms and companies. Perkins interned for the legal department of AstraZeneca during the summer of 2009. At AstraZeneca, he completed writing and research projects for many groups including the Human Resources Department. From May to June in 2010, Perkins assumed similar responsibilities as a Summer Associate at Barley Snyder LLC. Subsequently, he worked as a Legal Intern at the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas under Judge James Murray Lynn. He had the opportunity, during this internship, to watch proceedings associated with settlement conferences, civil trials, and jury selections.
Johnathan Perkins presently works as a Legal Intern for Robinson & Geraldo Attorneys at Law. Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the firm has enlisted his legal services since July 2011. In his current capacity, Johnathan Perkins aids in preparing for trials, organizing client meetings, performing client interviews, and gathering relevant evidence for trials.
